In addition, in an effort to catch up with some crime reports that I hadn’t gotten around to posting late last week, I should mention the availability of the District 6 crime report for 2/20 - 2/28. The report summary lists one rape, three robberies, two aggravated assaults, two commercial burglaries, a dozen residential burglaries, eleven thefts from vehicles, eight stolen vehicles and one sex offense. I note these in particular:
An aggravated assault occurred on Thursday 2/22 at 0825 hours, at Crown Farm Drive & Watch Hill Lane. The victim was watching her child (who is a school safety patrol) assist in getting other children on the school bus while it was stopped. The suspect passed the bus and almost hit the victim’s child. The victim confronted the suspect who got out of the vehicle and threatened to run over the victim. The suspect did strike the victim in the legs with his vehicle and then drove off.

A ’95 Plymouth Neon was taken from the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard on Saturday 2/24 at 0102 hours. The suspect was at a party at this residence and told friends he was going to steal a ’04 Jeep Wrangler that belonged to one of the party guests. The owner of that vehicle went outside and found his vehicle with a punched door lock and ignition. He also found the suspect punching the lock of a ’94 Honda Civic and the victim hit the suspect, who fled on foot and then took a ’95 Plymouth Neon. As officers were responding to the call, the suspect drove off at a high rate of speed before losing control and hitting the median at 779 Quince Orchard Boulevard, where he was arrested. The suspect had a screwdriver and a rock in his pocket that he used to punch the vehicle locks and ignition. This suspect has a long history of similar auto thefts.
