Just a few links in case you want to follow the Hazleton trial a bit more closely. Some local-to-the-trial newspapers that seem to be providing daily reports include:
- The Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader. Today’s story by Steve Mocarsky, Spat highlights immigration trial
- The Scranton Times-Tribune. Today’s story by Wade Malcolm, Barletta headed for stand
- The Hazleton Standard-Speaker. There’s a few stories today; this one, by Kent Jackson, discusses yesterday’s testimony. [Note that as I started to write this post that site was working fine, but as I go to click on the “publish” button, it seems not to be responding. So you might try them a bit later].
A number of bloggers — mostly, from what I can tell, on the right side of the political spectrum — are also following the trial closely.
- Digger’s Realm has a Hazleton topic set up, and is providing daily trial summaries with links to newspaper reports.
- The ACLU has a special blog set up where they are supposedly “live-blogging” from the trial, but it seems more like a place for a daily press release. Honestly, in a few minutes of searching, this was the only liberal blog I could find that seemed to be discussing the issue on a daily basis. If anyone knows of a better one, please let me know.
