Aggravated Assault
On 4/4/07 at 10:53 P.M. units responded to an aggravated assault in the unit block of North Summit Drive. A victim was located suffering from a stab wound he received while trying to break up a fight.

Suspect: A black male 18-20 years old, 5′-8″ wearing all black clothing. He left the area driving a brown Honda Civic.

Armed Robbery
On 04/03/07, at 2:06 a.m., there was an armed robbery of a business in the 500 block of Quince Orchard Road. The two suspects entered the business, produced a handgun and obtained cash. They then left in a dark colored vehicle.

Suspect #1 - Black male, 23-28 yrs old, 6′-0″, 200-250 lbs, described as muscular, dressed in all black clothing and armed with a handgun.
Suspect #2 - Black male, 23-28 yrs old, 6′-0″, 200-250 lbs, described as “chubby”, dressed in all black clothing.

Armed Robbery
On 04/02/07, at 4:20 a. m., police were advised by a citizen that they were robbed in the 500 block of Quince Orchard Road. Police canvassed the area but, the suspects were gone.

Suspect #1: Black male, muscular build, slight beard, bald, wearing black clothing.
Suspect #2: Black male wearing black clothing.
Suspect #3: Black male wearing black clothing.
Vehicle involved: A black Mercury Grand Marquis with a possible MD. Tag of C88J20.

Also, according to the latest District 6 Crime Report, there were five robberies, three aggravated assaults, five commercial burglaries, three residential burglaries, sixteen thefts from vehicles, four stolen vehicles, one recovered vehicle and two sex offenses in the previous week. Some notable reports:

There were three armed robberies in the Quince Orchard area; two occurred at the Shell gas station at 501 Quince Orchard Road. This may be part of a series of robberies committed by two or more B/M’s.

  • 4/1 SUN 2145-2300 hrs. 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard The suspects knocked on the victim’s door and identified themselves as US Marshals and said they were looking for a Terrance Carter for the rape of a 7-year-old. They all had badges and handed the victim a business card. They then displayed guns and forced their way into the residence. The suspects locked the victim’s girlfriend and her young child into a bathroom and tied up the victim with electrical cord. They put a sheet over his head and told him to start praying. The suspects took the victim’s TV, two cell phones, a lap top computer, and cash. When the victim freed himself, he and his girlfriend went to another residence. He claimed he waited until the next day to report the incident because he was afraid.

  • 4/2 MON 0400 hrs. 501 Quince Orchard Road The victim drove to the station to put air in his tires and saw the suspects standing by the air machine. The second suspect asked if the victim had change for a $50 bill. The first suspect then displayed a large dark semi-automatic gun. A police cruiser happened to be driving by and the suspect lowered the gun but put it back up again after the cruiser left. They took the victim’s wallet and cash, and then fled in the suspect vehicle.

  • 4/3 TUE 0216 hrs. 501 Quince Orchard Road The suspect entered the station and was talking on his cell phone while he waited until the employee finished helping another customer. When the customer left, the suspect asked the employee if he could have cash. The employee refused and the second suspect came in and took a gun from his waistband. The suspects took cash from the register and fled to the suspect vehicle.

There were two attempted auto thefts of Honda products this week on West Side Drive; both had the ignitions punched. A male with dark clothing (NFD) was seen in the area going from vehicle to vehicle, using a coat hanger to attempt to open vehicle doors. Officers responded but no one was found.

An adult female reported being followed by a stranger in the 400 block of Muddy Branch Road on Thursday 3/29 between 2115 and 2130 hours. The suspect approached the victim outside and asked her for ‘a smoke’. He followed her into the building and was saying something to the victim, but since she does not speak much English, she could not understand what he was saying. He then began to rub his penis through his clothes. A witness confronted the suspect who fled to a vehicle that was occupied by two other males (NFD).

Suspect: B/M, 21-24 yrs. old, 5’5”-5’7”/165-170 lbs., white hat, white jacket, blue jeans
Vehicle: either a Honda or a Volkswagen, red in color, temporary tags

A late report came in for a rape that occurred between 3/25 and 3/26. The adult female victim met the suspects at the Zodiac Grill on 3/25, where the victim became quite intoxicated. The victim then remembers waking up with the suspect having sex with her. He drove her back to her vehicle and she waited until the next day to report the incident. The victim did not know the address where she was raped; the suspect lives on Doe Lane (1st District), so it is possible that is where the incident occurred.

The Montgomery County liquor store at 220 N. Frederick Avenue was burglarized on Friday 3/30 at 0125 hours. Officers responded for an alarm and saw the front door broken. The suspects were walking away from the area and attempted to flee on foot, but were arrested nearby. The store video showed the suspects breaking the door with a chunk of asphalt and then taking bottles of brandy and beer. The suspects were both intoxicated and are homeless.

On Thursday 3/29 at 0236 hours, officers saw a vehicle by the side of the road on Route 270 and Montgomery Village Avenue. As the officer began to stop to offer assistance, they saw the suspect urinating by the roadway and he then drove off. He was weaving and driving very slowly and officers made a traffic stop. The suspect had an odor of alcohol and the officer saw a loaded Glock 22 .40 caliber gun in plain view.

A burglary occurred at Dr Soliday’s office, 507 N. Frederick Avenue between 1730 hours on Friday 3/30, and 0003 hours on Saturday 3/31. A citizen found the door lock broken and called the police. It appears that money or drugs were not the target; a cash box was left unopened on the floor and a cabinet with medications had a chain on it that was also untouched. A box of files, computer monitor and one box of prescription medications (that was out in the open) were taken.

A strong-armed robbery occurred in the area of 9400 block of Amboy Road on Sunday 4/1 at 2120 hours. The suspects surrounded the victim and demanded his money. They beat the victim and knocked him down. The victim’s cell phone fell out of his pocket and the suspects grabbed it and fled. The victim recognized the first three suspects from Watkins Mill High School.

A Regency cab that was taken in a car-jacking in the 5th District was found abandoned at Arrowhead Drive and Rothbury Drive on 3/30. the suspects had been picked u on Aircraft drive and had the victim make several turns on Brink Road and Davis Mill Road before announcing the robbery. The suspects displayed a knife and said they also had a gun but no gun was seen.

An aggravated assault occurred at the park at Teachers Way and Girard Street on Tuesday 3/27 at 1300 hours. The victim had a prior confrontation with the suspect at Lakeforest Mall. According to the victim, the suspect is possibly a member of the “3 P’s” gang. On this date, the victim was playing basketball with some friends when the suspect came from behind, yelled a profanity at the victim and stabbed him in the stomach with a 3” pocket knife. The victim and his friends beat the victim and then fled. The victim did not realize he was stabbed until he had left the scene and didn’t report the incident until the next day.

Defendant: Juvenile, H/M, 13 yrs. old, 5’5”/130 lbs., of Washington Grove Lane

The aggravated assault on State Court on Friday 3/30 at 0700 hours was committed by a known suspect. The suspect came to the victim’s house and accused him of stealing money. The suspect and victim got into a physical fight and the suspect fled to his home, where he obtained a knife and came back to the victim’s house. When the suspect heard the police sirens, he fled on foot. Investigation is continuing.

Officers observed a possible CDS deal in progress at Kelly Park, 400 Victory Farm Drive on Tuesday 3/27 at 1545 hours. The suspects drove off and a traffic stop was made for no seat belts. The suspects were very nervous and during a search on the first suspect, officers found possible CDS in his pocket. The other suspect started yelling and both resisted arrest. The first suspect attempted to swallow the CDS. A loaded Colt .38 revolver was found in the vehicle.

A sexual assault occurred at 500 S. Frederick Avenue on Tuesday 3/27 at 1830 hours. The adult female victim asked to use the suspect’s cell phone and he threw the victim against the building. He told her he wanted to have sex and then offered her money. He told the victim he was MS-13 and if she didn’t cooperate, he and his MS-13 buddies would come and rape the victim. The victim fled on foot. Investigation is continuing.

A theft from a construction theft occurred at Woodfield Road and Brenish Drive between Thursday 3/29 and Monday 4/2. The suspect(s) cut a hoist cable on the side of a truck to take ten pounds of copper coated steel. However, this property is just copper coated and is not the expensive copper that has been taken in similar thefts in the area.
