FY 2008 Budget Public Hearing and Work Sessions

The Gaithersburg Mayor and City Council will hold a public hearing on the Proposed FY 2008 Budget on Monday, May 14, 2007. A Budget Work Session is scheduled for Tuesday, May 15. Work Sessions will also be held on Thursday, May 17 and Tuesday, May 29 if needed. The hearing and the work sessions will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 31 South Summit Avenue. They will be televised live. Check the City’s website at for schedule updates.

These sessions allow the public an opportunity to comment on the City’s proposed operating and capital budgets for the coming year. Copies of the proposed budget will be available on May 7, 2007 at Gaithersburg City Hall. The budget is available electronically below.

The Mayor and Council will vote on the finalized budget at their regular meeting on June 4, 2007. The adopted budget for FY 2008 becomes effective July 1, 2007. For more information contact City of Gaithersburg Finance Director Harold Belton at 301-258-6320.
