  • A fifteen year old boy and his father were attacked in the area of West Deer Park Road and Cedar Avenue on Wednesday 7/25 around 1945 hours. The three defendants, all members of the Vampire Bloods gang, beat the victim for not joining their “club” and also threatened the father when he came to assist.

    Defendant: Juvenile AKA: T-Bone W/M 6’2”, 250, 16 years old
    Defendant: Juvenile AKA: French fry H/M 5’7”, 225, 13 years old
    Defendant: Juvenile AKA: Ghost H/M 5’6”, 185, 15 years old

  • A sex offense occurred at the Rio on Washingtonian Boulevard on Friday 7/27 around 1445 hours. The adult victim and suspect were standing at the urinals when the suspect reached over and grabbed the victim’s penis.

    Suspect: B/M 18-22, 6’-6’2”, 185-200, dreadlocks

  • An armed robbery occurred at the Exxon, 448 N Frederick Avenue, on Tuesday 7/31 at 2140 hours. The suspect brought a pack of gum to the counter, then pulled a weapon and demanded cash. Witnesses lost track of the suspect just before the Fairgrounds. This robbery is related to other commercial robberies in the area and a suspect has been identified.

  • An aggravated assault occurred in the area of Goodport Lane on Thursday 7/26 around 2110 hours. The suspect and three of his friends climbed over the victim’s fence on East Darby Avenue where the victim started swinging a baseball bat. He was disarmed and struck several times by the group before he was able to escape. Investigation is continuing.

    Goodport Lane and East Darby [Court] are in the vicinity of Game Preserve & Clopper.

  • On Wednesday 8/01 at 0240 hours, the victim was approached from behind and hit in the back of the head. The suspects grabbed at his clothing and demanded his wallet. After a passerby stopped to assist, the suspects fled towards W Deer Park Road. No property was obtained.

  • A seventeen year old male was attacked in the area of Flower Hill Way and Hallmark Court on Sunday 7/29 around 0120 hours. Suspects first asked for money and then knocked the victim down, striking him several times. The suspects, described as B/Ms wearing white tee shirts and black shorts as well as a B/F in pink shorts, made off with the victim’s cell phone. Note: This may be related to the robbery that occurred on 7/21 at the Rothbury McDonald’s that involved 4 B/M suspects (also wearing white tee shirts and black pants) accompanied by one B/F with a cell phone taken.

  • A sex assault by an acquaintance occurred on Shady Spring Place on Wednesday 7/25 at 1100 hours. The suspect came to the home to see a child and while there, began fondling the legs and neck of the adult female victim.

    Suspect: “Salvador” H/M 6’1” to 6’3”, 250 to 275

    Shady Spring Place is near Midcounty Highway, east of Washington Grove Lane.

  • A strong-arm robbery and an attempted purse snatch occurred Tuesday 7/24 in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle. It is unknown if they are related.

    • An adult male was robbed by four suspects outside of the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle at 2130 hours. Surrounded by the four as he was walking home, one suspect held a knife to his side while others searched his pockets. The victim’s wallet and cell phone were stolen.

    • An attempted purse snatch occurred in front of the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle around 1630 hours. The suspect (H/M NFD) ran up behind the victim and attempted to steal her purse unsuccessfully before getting into a small red car driven by a 2nd male of no description.
  • A dispute between customers in the drive-thru at the McDonalds, 19388 Montgomery Village Avenue, escalated into a strong arm robbery on Saturday 7/28 around 0230 hours. Suspects in one car got out and began physically fighting the occupants of the other car. A female was dragged out of her vehicle and assaulted. For whatever reason, her pants were taken down to her ankles and her wallet was stolen. The victim provided the tag #.

  • A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday 7/24 between 0815 and 1700 hours on Crown Court. The door lock to the living room from the garage was damaged. It is unclear if the garage was open. Nothing was taken.

    Crown Court is near Great Seneca & Longdraft.

  • On Thursday 7/26 between 0730 and 2055 hours, a suspect(s) climbed up the back porch of a home in the 20100 of Torrey Pond Place and broke a rear window to gain entry. A case containing several watches was the only item stolen.

    Torrey Pond Place is off Apple Ridge Road, between Watkins Mill & Montgomery Village Avenues.

  • A residential burglary occurred Monday 7/30, 0630-1210 hours, on Crested Iris Court. A front door was forced and rooms were ransacked. Laptops, TV, DVD and cash were taken. The victim had recently evicted a subject, but it is unknown if he is involved and there is no probable cause for arrest.

    Crested Iris Court is near Watkins Mill, south of Apple Ridge.

  • From the Duty Commander report, on 7/31 at 2135 hours, a lone female was driving on Goshen Road when an older blue van came up behind her and turned on an old blue Kojack style light on the dash. She believed he was trying to pull her over. She refused to stop and turned right onto Stewartown Road, at which point the van continued down Goshen. The driver was a W/M 30-40 years old with short brown hair NFD.

  • An apartment burglary occurred in the 400 block of N Summit Avenue on Tuesday 7/24 just before 0430 hours. The female resident felt someone’s hand under her shirt and when she screamed saw the arm of a light complexioned B/M as he exited the window left open by the victim. The victim discovered cash missing from her purse, which was in the same room.

  • Numerous vehicles in the 400 block of Girard Street were targeted for theft during this reporting frame. Smashing a window was the normal method to enter and the stereo was the primary target. Three other vehicles were also found with broken steering columns.

  • A residential open garage burglary in the 7400 block of Cinnabar Terrace was witnessed by neighbors on Tuesday 7/24 around 1445 hours. Suspects were seen stealing a bicycle, golf club, and hockey stick.

  • A residential burglary occurred Wednesday 7/25, 0830-1730 hours, on Chestnut Avenue. A side garage door was pried and then entry was made to the main residence through an unlocked interior door. Numerous items of value were left untouched; only cash was reported taken.

    Chestnut Avenue is in Washington Grove.
