  • The aggravated assault occurred at the Red Rock Café, 385 Muddy Branch Rd, on Friday 8/3 around 2340 hours. A group of adult males began arguing over the company of a female which quickly escalated to a fight with beer bottles and pool cues. Arrested were:

  • A commercial armed robbery occurred at the B & B Beer and Wine, 8403 Snouffer School Road, on Tuesday 8/7 around 2100 hours. The suspect entered and pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at the employee, demanding cash from the register. The victim complied and the suspect fled in a waiting vehicle.

    Suspect: B/M 30 to 32 years, 5’7” to 6’0”, 130-140, lower lip hair, grey tee shirt, jean shorts

  • The adult female resident of an apartment in the 600 block of West Side Drive awoke on Sunday 8/5 around 0500 hours to find what appeared to be a drunk male lying on top of her fondling her breasts. When she screamed and called for her son to help, the suspect fled. The resident had left her keys in the front door lock.

    Suspect: H/M 30 to 40 years, 5’6” to 5’7”, 170-180, silver upper teeth, blue jean shorts

  • An armed robbery occurred at a bus stop at 211 North Frederick Avenue on Monday 8/6 around 0145 hours. Two suspects approached, knocked the victim down, and threatened him with a knife. Both fled on foot after obtaining cash.

  • The Exxon station at 448 North Frederick Avenue was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday 7/31 at 2140 hours by the same suspect committing the offense weeks earlier. Investigation by patrol and SAT led to the identification and later arrest of the listed defendants.

  • A similar robbery involving subjects closely resembling the above suspects occurred at 355 and West Deer Park Road on Wednesday 8/1 around 0240 hours. The victim was struck in the back of the head and searched for his wallet. Approaching cars scared the suspects off as they fled on foot. [GCPD]

  • A strong arm robbery was reported Saturday 8/4 just after 0840 hours on Jarrett Court. The victim and suspect (both females) were among seven people traveling home from Delaware in a Lincoln when an argument ensued. The suspect claimed the victim had stolen her money, struck her with a shoe and stole her purse containing all of six dollars. Others occupants in this caravan gave differing accounts of the event.

  • An adult male was the victim of a strong arm robbery at Copps Hill Drive and Contour Road on Thursday 8/2 around 2220 hours. The suspect asked the victim for a dollar and when the victim refused, the suspect punched him in the nose. The suspect removed cash from the victim’s pocket. He also stated he has seen the suspect before at the 5D Bus Depot on Aircraft Drive.

    Suspect: W/M 25 to 30 years, 6’1” to 6’3”, 250-265, long brown hair, black tee shirt

  • On Sunday 8/5 around 0150 hours, a drunk patron at the Grand Billiards Bar, 18925 Earhart Court, picked a fight with two other men there, resulting with the instigator being punched and kicked in the head. The suspects then went through the victim’s pockets and stole his cash and cell phone.

  • An apartment burglary occurred in the 700 block of Clopper Road on Tuesday 7/31 between 0545 and 1400 hours. The screen to a side window was cut, though it is not known if the window itself was secure. A laptop was taken.

  • As first posted on the 6D web board, vehicles on Midline Road and Rye Court were broken into between Wednesday 8/1 and Thursday 8/2. A laptop, golf clubs, cash, and a GPS unit were among the items stolen. Also posted were three other vehicles in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard broken into where the targets were GPS systems and stereos. Various CRs.

    Midline Road & Rye Court are west of Quince Orchard Road, near Great Seneca Highway.

  • Three Honda Accords were broken into between Tuesday 7/31 and Wednesday 8/1 at 415 Russell Avenue. In each case, a window was broken and the airbags stolen. These are the first such cases since early May.

  • Four additional vehicles on Lost Knife Circle were broken into over the course of this past weekend. Unlike Russell Avenue, different items (to include a stereo, clothing, and cash) were taken from three different make vehicles.

  • An attempted robbery occurred in the parking lot of Whetstone Elementary, 19201 Thomas Farm Road, on Saturday 8/4 at 0200 hours. Four adults stated they were playing in the parking lot, when they were approached by four suspects who demanded their money. One victim was knocked to the ground; while a second male was struck in the face. Weapons were implied and nothing was obtained. A quick response and foot pursuit led to the arrest of two.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10200 block of Cove Ledge Court on Monday 8/6 between 1330 and 1900 hours. The front door lock, according to the homeowner, does not work properly. The suspect(s) ransacked multiple rooms and used kitchen appliances, but stole nothing.

    Cove Ledge Court is off Watkins Mill, south of Apple Ridge.

  • Possibly related to the Cove Ledge case is a residential burglary on Travis Court on the same day between 1230 and 1330 hours. Two teens were home when a subject knocked on the door. One went to the door but saw someone she did not recognize him and she declined to answer. One hour later, she found the basement glass slider open. A cell phone and cash was discovered missing.

    Travis Court is near where Russell dead-ends into Watkins Mill.

  • On Tuesday 7/31 around 2145 hours, an adult female traveling on Montgomery Village Avenue near Stewartown Road was followed by a subject who turned on a strobe dash light in what appeared to be an attempt to pull her over. The vehicle was also equipped with a rotating blue light in the back. The woman turned off, but the subject continued on.

    Suspect: W/M or H/M 30 to 40 years, short brown hair
    Suspect Vehicle: dark blue boxy-type van with a gold or brown stripe

    Stewartown Road runs between Montgomery Village Ave and Goshen Road, north of Centerway.

  • A residential burglary occurred between Wednesday 8/1 at 2100 and Thursday 8/2 at 1000 hours on Laytonia Drive. The lock to the sliding glass door was pried. Three televisions, a stereo, and a DVD player were stolen.

    Laytonia Drive is off Muncaster Mill Road, between Woodfield and Shady Grove.
