Attempted Burglary

On 09/06/07, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., an attempt was made to enter a residence on Carousel Court. No entry was gained.

Carousel Court is between Girard St & Gaithersburg Middle School.

Burglary

On 09/06/07, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., a residence in the unit block of St Ives Court was burglarized. The rear kitchen window was broken out and property was taken.

I don’t think that there’s a St Ives Court — there’s a St Ives Lane and a St Ives Place, both of which are on the north side of Kelly Park/Maple Lake Park, near Victory Farm Drive.

Armed Robbery

On 08/29/07, at approximately 2:35 a.m., there was an armed robbery in the unit block of Irish Court. The victims were sitting in their car when they saw an acquaintance. The acquaintance pulled out a gun and demanded money. The suspect took cash from the victims pocket. The investigation is ongoing.

Irish Court is west of Quince Orchard Road, between Twin Lakes Drive and Quince Orchard Blvd.

Strong Arm Robbery

On 08/30/07, at approximately 9:42 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of Girard Street for the report of a robbery. The victim was walking when the suspect approached him and asked him for some money. He stated he had none and then the suspect asked for his cell phone. The victim gave the suspect his cell phone. The suspect then pushed the victim to the ground and hit him.

Suspect - Hispanic male, medium build, wearing a light blue jersey and blue jeans.

• An armed robbery with a gun occurred in the 100 block of Docena Court on Sunday 8/26 just before 1 AM. Victim assaulted, property taken.

  Suspect: B/M 18 to 20, 5’8” to 5’10”, 200, goatee, white tank top

  Suspect: B/M 18 to 20, 5’7”, black tee shirt, black jeans

  Suspect: B/M 18 to 20, black jacket, black jeans

  Docena Court is near Midcounty Hwy & Montgomery Village Ave.

• A strong-armed robbery occurred in front of the Marriott, 9751 Washingtonian Boulevard, on Saturday 8/25 around 11:30 PM where 3 juvenile suspects were arrested. Two victims stated they were assaulted and property was taken.

• A strong arm robbery occurred on Saturday 8/25 when a male victim was assaulted by two suspects at Girard Street and North Summit Avenue around 4:40 AM. Property was taken.

  Suspect: H/M 6’0” to 6’4”, 140-155, short black hair, white tee shirt, black shorts

• Four larcenies from vehicles occurred during this week. Hondas were broken into with airbags stolen:

  • Wed-Thu 8/22-23 100 blk Duvall Lane
  • Wed-Thu 8/22-23 200 blk West Deer Park
  • Sat-Mon 8/25-27 9700 blk Fields Road
  • Sun-Mon 8/26-27 9890 blk Washingtonian Blvd

• A residential burglary occurred on Sunday 8/26 around 5:33 AM in the 18800 block of South Meadow Fence Road. Nothing was taken.

  South Meadow Fence Road is between Emory Grove Road and Lake Whetstone.

• The vehicle-related thefts were in various parts of the area with four occurring in close proximity along Quail Valley Boulevard. Each had forced entry and property taken.

  • Tues 8/21 2 AM-6 AM 9200 blk Oriole Place
  • Thu-Fri 8/23-24 18930 blk Quail Valley Blvd.
  • Thu-Fri 8/23-24 18840 blk Quail Valley Blvd.

  These addresses are northeast of Midcounty Hwy & Goshen Road, near Strawberry Knoll Park.

• On the west side of Goshen, three additional vehicles (all unlocked) were entered and searched between 8/26 and 8/27. Items were taken.

• Much of the vehicle-related thefts were concentrated along the Apple Ridge Road corridor and included:

  • GPS units and other property stolen from cars parked at 9700 blk & 9800 blk of Apple Ridge and from a truck parked at Apple Ridge and Torrey Pond Road.
  • Property stolen from a 2001 Honda Civic in the 20000 block of Hob Hill Way and the auto theft of a 2000 Honda Civic (silver, 4-door, MD/tags) from the 20030 block of Hob Hill.

• A residential burglary occurred on Thursday 8/23 between 7:30 AM and 1:45 PM in the 220 block of Bristol Downs Drive. Forced entry and property taken.

  Bristol Downs Drive is north of Saybrooke Oaks Blvd, west of Midcounty Hwy; it’s what Victory Farm turns into after it crosses Saybrooke Oaks.

• Two residential burglaries occurred during this timeframe.

  • Wed 8/22 10 AM-5:30 PM. 400 block of Woodland Road Forced entry, property taken.
  • Friday-Sun 8/24-26 130 block of Hutton Street Forced entry, property taken.

  These addresses are near City Hall.

• A burglary occurred at Odalli’s Hair Salon at 113 Washington Grove on Tuesday 8/21. No further information is known at this time.
