I’m behind in posting these things, which the County has returned to posting on something approaching a regular basis. The following is taken from the 1/16 report; there are two more I’ll be getting to soon.

P1 Beat:

  • An armed robbery occurred on Sunday, 1/13 at approximately 6:30 p.m. in the 400 block of West Side Drive in Gaithersburg. An adult male was outside his car when two suspects approached him. One suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. The suspects took cash and fled on foot.

    Both suspects: B/M’s 27 to 30 years old, 6’0”, wearing black jackets and black pants.

  • An aggravated assault that occurred on West Side Drive in Gaithersburg was domestic-related. The boyfriend was arrested. Refer to the printout for defendant information.
  • An aggravated assault occurred on Wednesday, 1/9 (time unknown) in the parking lot of Shady Grove Adventist Hospital located at 9901 Medical Center Drive in Rockville. A black male, no further identification, pointed a handgun at a female.

P2 Beat:

  • A commercial burglary occurred on Sunday, 1/13 at 3:40 a.m. at the “I Sold It on Ebay” store at 12101 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg. Forced entry, property taken. A white male was seen driving a silver 4-door vehicle speeding out of the parking lot.

R1 Beat:

  • A theft from vehicle occurred on Thursday, 1/10 at 11:00 a.m. in the 400 block of Blue Silk Lane in Gaithersburg. The adult female victim saw an unknown suspect breaking into her car. The victim and a neighbor yelled out to the suspect who fled on foot after taking property from the vehicle.

    Suspect: W/M, 20 to 25 years, 5’6”-5’10” tall, short afro, black jacket over a grey hooded jacket.

R2 Beat:

  • A robbery (purse snatch) occurred on Ridgeline Drive and Montgomery Village Avenue in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, 1/9, time unknown. The suspect ran up to the adult female victim and stole her purse.

    Suspect: B/M, 20 to 22 years old, 6’0” tall, 160-170 lbs., wearing a black baseball cap, and black hooded jacket.

  • An aggravated assault occurred on Thursday 1/10 at an unknown time, on Ridgeline Drive in Montgomery Village. It involved acquaintances of the victim and his girlfriend. Two arrests were made.
  • An arrest was made for a vehicle-related theft that occurred on Sunday 1/13 at approximately 2:40 a.m. in the 9600 block of Brassie Way in Montgomery Village. A citizen observed the suspect inside the car and notified police. A 21-year-old male was arrested.
  • A home invasion robbery occurred on Tuesday, 1/15 at approximately 8:35 p.m. in the 9300 block of Bremerton Way in Montgomery Village. Three suspects forced their way into the home and physically assaulted the adult male victim.

    Suspect: B/M 18 to 19 years old, 5’3”-5’4” tall, thin build, thin mustache, goatee, small handgun. He was accompanied by two other B/Ms

S1 Beat:

  • No significant activity.

S2 Beat:

  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 6300 block of Holland Meadow Lane in Gaithersburg on Wednesday 1/9 at approximately 2:00 p.m. The two male suspects posed as employees of a lawn service. As one worked in the yard, the other attempted to enter the residence. The resident was at home and both suspects fled. Nothing was taken.

    Suspect: M 6’0”-6’1” tall, 180 lbs., dark skin, blue & white bandana, black jacket
    Suspect: M 5’8”-5’10” tall, 160-180 lbs., grey hooded jacket, blue jeans
    Suspect vehicle: White box truck with landscaping logo on the sides.

  • Vehicle-related thefts occurred on different evenings between January 8 and January 16. Two occurred on the same street in Gaithersburg. Both vehicles had damaged windows and loose items were removed:
    • Tues 1/8 2:00 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. 17600 block of Silver Dollar Ct. Two vehicles.
    • Tue-Wed 1/8-9 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m. 17600 block of Silver Dollar Ct. Property taken.
