On 08/14/2009 at 11:44 p.m., an armed robbery was reported in the 200 block of Muddy Branch Road behind the Festival Shopping Center. The subjects were known to the victim and arrest were made.

Burglary

On 08/10/2009 at 10:39 p.m. unknown suspect(s) gained access to a portable trailer at Summit Hall Elementary School, located at 101 West Deer Park Road. Suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. Investigation to continue.

Aggravated Assault

On 8/9/09 at 4:08 p.m., there was an aggravated assault in the unit block of North Summit Drive. The known suspect was arrested a short time later.


Tuesday, August 04, 2009

Burglary

On 08/04/2009 between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. a suspect forced entry into an apartment in the 300 block of Palm Spring Drive. Cash and prescription narcotics stolen. Investigation to continue.

Strong Arm Robbery

On 07/31/2009 at 10:39 pm. A strong arm robbery was reported at the intersection of Girard St. and Goshen Rd. The victim was approached by 5-6 males and punched repeatedly while his property was taken from his pockets. One of the suspects was located by Police K9 and arrested. Investigation continues.

Burglary

On 07/30/09, at 2:20 p.m. a suspect entered a residence in the 100 block of Englefield Drive via an open garage door. The suspect obtained property and fled the scene when he was discovered by the victim.

Suspect: White male, 20-30 years of age, 5′09″, 140-150 lbs, wearing dark blue clothing.

On 07/28/2009 at 6:38 p.m., a burglary was reported in the 1300 block of Carlsbad Drive. Unknown suspect(s) entered the unoccupied residence through the back door and removed property. Investigation on going.


Monday, July 27, 2009

Arrest

On 07/27/2009 at 10:00 p.m., an attempted robbery was reported in the unit block of Nina Court. The victim was on the blacktop area of the playground working out when an unknown Hispanic male approached him and demanded money. When the victim refused, the unknown male began to punch the victim in the face. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and call the police. The suspect was identified and arrested a short while after the incident occurred.

On 07/26/2009 at 11:30 p.m., a burglary was reported in 400 block of Russel Avenue. Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and removed items. The residence was unoccupied.

On 07/26/2009, at 10:45 a.m., an individual forcibly entered a residence on Hibiscus Ct. The suspect was confronted by a 13 year old who told him that he didn’t belong there. The suspect replied okay and left without incident. Suspect: Padmored Anomanche/Black male/dreadlocks

On 07/25/2009 at 6:26 a.m., an assault was reported in the 18500 block of North Frederick Avenue. The suspect is known to the vicitm.

Attempted Strong Arm Robbery

On 07/25/2009 at 12:06 a.m., an attempted strong arm robbery was reported in the 300 block of North Summit Avenue. The victim was walking home when 5 unknown suspects approached him and struck him in the face with an unknown object. The victim yelled for help and the suspects fled the area on foot with no property.

Suspect #1: A Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Suspect #2: A Hispanic male wearing a dark shirt with stripes and blue jeans.
Suspect #3: A white female wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans
Suspects #4 and #5: Both white males.

On 07/24/2009 at 10:35 a.m., an attempted burglary was reported at the M.C. Upholstery Company located at 412 East Diamond Avenue. No entry was made. The business was unoccupied.

Aggravated Assault

On 07/23/09 at 5:44 p.m. units responded to 300 block of North Summit Avenue for a fight in progress. Victim sustained minor injuries during the altercation. Suspect fled seen prior to Police arrival. Investigation to continue.

Burglary

On 07/23/2009 at 7:12 a.m., a burglary was reported at the Gaithersburg High School located at 314 South Frederick Avenue. The known suspect entered the school and removed property. Investigation on going.

Rape

On 07/23/2009 at 8:55 p.m., a rape was reported in the 800 block of Trotters Ridge Lane. The suspect is known to the victim. Investigation is on going.

Burglary

On 7/22/09 between 2:00 P.M. and 3:30 P.M. there was a burglary in the 900 block of Wild Forest Drive. It is believed entry was made though the doggie door. The suspects then left through the front door with the stolen property. There are no suspects at this time.

Assault

On 07/21/2009 at 11:25 p.m., an assault was reported in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard. The victim was walking on the sidewalk when four unknown suspects approached him and began to physically assault him. The victim yelled for help and the suspects fled on foot. No property was taken.

All four suspects were described as black males, 15-18 years old, 5′05″- 5′10″, 130-140 lbs.

Burglary

On 07/21/2009 at 8:10 p.m., a burglary was reported in the 100 block of Mission Drive. Unknown suspect(s) entered the unoccupied residence and removed property.

On 07/21/2009 at 8:35 a.m., a burglary was reported in the 200 block of Cherrywood Terrace. Unknown suspect(s) entered through the garage and removed property from the vehicle.

Attempted Strong Arm Robbery

On 07/20/09 at 11:00 a.m., an attempted strong armed robbery was reported at the 600 unit block of Quince Orchard Road. During that time, the victim reported being approached by two unknown suspects who demanded his wallet. The victim refused and the suspects attempted to physically assault the victim but the victim was able to fend off of the attack. The suspects then fled the area. Investigation continues.

Suspect #1 Black male wearing dark clothing. Approximately 20-25 years of age.
Suspect #2 Black male wearing dark clothing. Approximately 5-09, 120 lbs., muscular build.

Sometime between 07/15/09 at 6:00 p.m. and 07/16/2009 at 3:00 a.m. unknown suspect(s) removed a screen to an apartment in the unit block of East Deer Park Drive and removed electronic equipment. Investigation to continue.

Aggravated Assault

On 07/08/09 at 11:30 p.m., a aggravated assault occurred at the unit block of Water Street, between two known individuals. It was revealed that the individuals were involved in a verbal altercation that eventually escalated into a physical altercation. Police responded, conducted an investigation and later arrested one of the individuals, without incident.

On 07/06/2009 at 1:14 p.m., an aggravated assault was reported at the Rio Mall located at 9811 Washintonian Boulevard. The assault followed after a traffic dispute between both parties. Both parties are known to each other.

Armed Robbery

On 07/03/2009 at 9:45 p.m., an armed robbery was reported at the Goodwill Store located at 619 South Frederick Avenue. The suspect approached the employee, removed cash and fled the business. The employee was not harmed. Investigation is on going.

Suspect- a black male, 6′01″, 160-180 lbs, wearing a ski mask, black shirt and khaki pants.

Armed Robbery

On 07/03/2009 at 3:50 a.m.,an armed robbery was reported in the area of Travis Avenue and Watkins Mill Road. An unknown black male struck the victim with a possible silver handgun and stole property. Suspect fled on foot.

Suspect: Black male, early 20’s, 6′01″ 150 lbs., black short sleeve shirt and blue jeans.

Attempted Armed Robbery

On 07/01/2009 at 2:10 a.m., police responded for the report an attempted armed robbery of a taxi driver. The driver picked up three (3) suspects from Germantown and drove them to the 500 block of Palm Tree Drive. Once all three (3) were out of the vehicle, one approached on the driver’s side, displayed a knife and asked for his money. The driver drove away and called the police. There were no injuries and nothing was taken.

Suspect #1 - Black male, heavy set, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
Suspect #2 - Black male, thin build, 5′11″, had his hair in braids, wearing a grey tank top and black shorts.
Suspect #3 - Black male, medium bushy hair, wearing a black shirt and pants.

Aggravated Assault

On 06/18/2009 at 10:53 p.m., officers responded to unit block of N. Summit Drive for an assault with a knife that just occurred. An investigation revealed that several subjects got into an argument with another individual. At that time, the individual pulled out a large hunting knife and attempted to stab one of the subjects. The victim suffered a very minor scratch on his stomach. Upon police arrival, the individual was arrested and the knife was safely recovered. The individual with the knife was charged with first and second degree assault.

Burglary

On 06/18/2009 at1:27 a.m., officers responded to an alarm at The Mac Store, located at 895 Quince Orchard Road. Upon arrival officers found the front door glass smashed out with a rock. Investigation revealed that an unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the establishment through the front door and removed property. The property was unoccupied during the incident. Investigation continues.

On 6/18/2009 police responded to the 600 blk of Suffield Drive for a burglary that occurred earlier. Taken was a laptop computer.

Attempted Armed Robbery

On 06/17/09 at 8:28 a.m., police responded to the 400 block of North Frederick Avenue, for a report of two males fighting. One of the individuals involved in the altercation was armed with a knife. Upon officers arrival, investigation revealed that the individual that was armed, was attempting to rob the other individual and his companion. The suspect was immediately taken into custody. No injuries were sustained during the altercation. Arrested: Johnny Rick Pullen white male, 43 years old with a Gaithersburg, MD. Address.

On 6/11/09, at 5:41p.m., there was a strong arm robbery in the 18500 block of North Frederick Avenue. The victim was punched and had property taken.

Suspect- A black male teenager described as having a thin build. He was wearing a white tank top shirt and black short pants.

Burglary

On 06/08/2009 at 11:02 a.m., police responded to the 400 block of Belle Grove Road for an alarm. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the house had been burglarized by unknown suspects and that property was stolen.


Friday, June 05, 2009

Arrest

On 06/05/09, at about 2:20 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Deer Park Lane, for a burglary in progress. A witness provided officers with descriptions of the suspects breaking into the building. GPD and MCP officers were canvassing the immediate area and located the suspects a short distance away. The witness identified the five juvenile suspects and they were arrested.

Attempted Burglary

On 06/05/09 at 1:33 p.m., an attempted burglary was reported at the 800 unit block of Quince Orchard Boulevard. The complainant advised that sometime between 06/03/09 at 6:15 p.m. and 06/04/09 at 8:37 a.m., an unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the business by prying at the front entrance door. The suspect(s) were unsuccessful in their attempt to gain entry but damage was done to the property. Investigation continues.

Robbery

On 06/05/2009 at 10:45p.m., two males were walking along West Side Drive at Muddy Branch Road when they were approached by six unknown males. The two males were beaten and robbed by the six unknown males and property was taken.

Aggravated Assault

On 06/01/09 at 12:28 a.m., an aggravated assault occurred at the unit block of North Glade Court. The victim advised that he and the suspect were involved in a verbal altercation over property when the suspect, who was armed with a machete style knife, threatened to physically harm the victim. The victim was able to retreat to a safe location and immediately notified the police. Upon arrival, the police were able to locate the suspect and the weapon. The suspect was immediately apprehended without incident.

Burglary

On 06/01/09, at 2:05 p.m., two suspects entered an apartment in the 900 block of Clopper Road by breaking through the ceiling. The resident was home at the time and interrupted the burglars. The two suspects fled out the front door without obtaining any property. The incident is still under investigation.

Suspect #1: Black male, 30 years of age, black ski mask, gray gloves, maroon shirt, armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2: Black male, unknown age, white short sleeve shirt, blue jeans.

Burglary

On 05/30/09 at 11:56 a.m. a burglary was reported at the 700 unit block of Quince Orchard Boulevard. The complainant advised that on the above date, between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 11:55 a.m., unknown suspects entered the residence through the living room sliding glass door and removed property. The residence was occupied but the occupants were asleep during the incident. Upon investigation, police conducted a canvass of the area and located the property and the suspects, in which they were immediately apprehended.

On 05/30/09 at 10:34 a.m., a burglary was reported at the 100 unit block of Duvall Lane. The complainant advised that on the above date between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., an unknown suspect(s), entered the residence through the front door and removed property, while the occupants were asleep. Investigation continues.

Strong Arm Robbery

On 05/30/09 at 9:10 p.m., a strong armed robbery was reported at the 400 unit block of Girard Street. During that time, the complainant reported being physically assaulted and having a necklace removed, by a known suspect. Police responded and later located and apprehended the suspect without incident.

The complainant advised that on 05/22/09 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through the front door and removed property. District 6 Crime Summary for the week ending May 19, 2009

This last of four posts for this morning will catch us up with the County Police crime summaries, which I’ve been neglecting for a few weeks.

P1 Beat:

  • No significant activity.

P2 Beat:

  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 900 block of Pointer Ridge Drive in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/11 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. There were signs of tampering, but no entry was made.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of Quince Orchard Boulevard in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 5/12 between 2:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. No signs of force but property reported missing.

R1 Beat:

  • A street robbery occurred in the parking lot of 18221 Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Monday, 5/18 between 2:40 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. The adult male victim was approached and a struggle ensued. During the struggle, the victim was cut, though no weapon was seen. The victim’s property was obtained and the suspect fled on foot.

    Suspect: H/M, 20-25, 5’7” to 5’9”, 160-170 lbs., mustache, black hoodie

  • An aggravated assault occurred in the area of Contour Road and Lost Knife Drive in Montgomery Village on Tuesday, 5/19 around 10:00 p.m. The adult male victim was found with an unknown type puncture wound.

R2 Beat:

  • An armed robbery occurred at BJ’s Beer & Wine at 20032 Goshen Road in Montgomery Village on Saturday, 5/16 at 12:40 p.m. Two suspects armed with guns demanded cash. They obtained cash and fled. Suspects were identified and arrested in Baltimore.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 9600 block of Brassie Way in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, 5/13 between 6:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property. This incident is believed to be domestic.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10600 block of Seneca Ridge Drive in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, 5/13 between 1:00 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

    Five residential burglaries from 5/11-18/09

S1 Beat:

  • A residential burglary occurred at the Goodwill store at 619 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg between Saturday, 5/16 at 9:30 p.m. and Sunday, 5/17 at 9:00 a.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

S2 Beat:

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8800 block of Cross Country Place in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 5/12 between 4:50 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

  • An attempted residential garage burglary occurred in the 18700 block of Cross Country Lane in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 5/12 between 8:15 p.m. and 7:45 a.m. Suspects used the garage remote obtained from an unlocked vehicle but nothing was removed.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 7800 block of Muncaster Mill Road in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 5/13 between 12:20 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 18500 block of Sweet Autumn Drive in Gaithersburg on Thursday, 5/14 between 11:30 a.m. and 11:55 a.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 8100 block of Beechcraft Avenue in Gaithersburg between Thursday, 5/14 at 5:30 p.m. and Friday, 5/15 at 7:45 a.m. Suspects removed a car stereo.

  • A theft of vehicle parts occurred in the 8100 block of Beechcraft Avenue in Gaithersburg between Thursday, 5/14 at 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 5/15 at 7:00 a.m. Suspects removed 4 tires/rims.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 18400 block of Flower Hill Way in Gaithersburg overnight between Tuesday, 5/12 at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, 5/13 at 8:30 a.m. Suspects entered and unlocked vehicle and removed prescription medications.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred on Tea Rose Court in Gaithersburg overnight between Thursday, 5/14 at 10:40 p.m. and Friday, 5/15 at 4:00 p.m. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a wallet containing cash and credit cards.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the unit block of Meadow Grass Court overnight between Monday, 5/6 and Tuesday, 5/7 between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 a.m. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a GPS unit, digital camera, assorted clothing and CD’s.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 9800 block of Gable Ridge Terrace in Gaithersburg on Thursday, 5/7 between 10:30 p.m. and 3:30 a.m. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed the car stereo.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10100 block of Watkins Mill Place in Gaithersburg on Thursday, 5/7 between 1:00 a.m. and 2:40 p.m. This incident was domestic.

S2 Beat:

  • A robbery occurred outside of the Cash Depot, 8035 Snouffer School Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/11 between 9:10 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. Three suspects pulled up next to her as she was exiting her car. One held something to her back and demanded her property. Suspects fled after obtaining property.

  • An aggravated assault occurred in the 400 block of Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg on Thursday, 4/30 between 11:13 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. This incident was domestic-related. The husband was arrested for threatening his wife with a knife.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 300 block of Palmspring Drive in Gaithersburg on Sunday, 5/3/09 between 1:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Suspects pried the door but did not take anything.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 800 block of Muddy Branch Road in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, 4/28/09 between 9:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Suspects removed a purse from an unattended vehicle.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred in the area of Diamondback Drive and Bickerstaff Way in Gaithersburg at the dog park on Saturday, 5/2/09 between 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Suspects broke the window and removed a purse with cash inside.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred on Bralan Court in Gaithersburg on Friday, 4/30 between 11:30 p.m. and 7:15 a.m. Suspects entered an unlocked vehicle and removed coins.

  • A sexual offense (inappropriate touching) was reported on Harmony Hall Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/4 between 2:10 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. The juvenile female victim knew the adult male suspect who was arrested at the scene.

  • A theft occurred at the Abandoned Auto lot on Metropolitan Grove Road in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 4/29 between 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Police arrested two suspects.

  • A theft from a vehicle occurred on Kent Gardens Circle in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 4/29 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. Suspects broke the window and removed a purse, wallet and cell phone.

  • An aggravated assault occurred at the Dollar Tree, 18258 Contour Road in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 4/29 around 2:45 p.m. A confrontation occurred between a suspect and the owner over taking a soda. The suspect brandished a knife and threatened to cut the owner. Suspect fled the store.

  • An attempted burglary occurred in the 900 block of 920 Wild Forest Drive in Gaithersburg between Wednesday, 4/29 and Thursday, 4/30 between 6:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. Suspects attempted entry but no entry was gained.

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 19400 block of Laguna Drive in Gaithersburg on Friday, 5/1 between 7:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. This incident is domestic.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 9700 block of Docena Drive in Montgomery Village on Sunday, 5/3 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Unknown type entry, property taken.

  • A sexual assault (inappropriate touching) occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle in Montgomery Village on Wednesday, 4/29 between 11:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. The juvenile female victim knew the adult male suspect.

  • A robbery occurred at The Goshen Plaza Beer & Wine, 9150 Rothbury Drive in Montgomery Village on Thursday, 4/30 around 9:15 p.m. Two suspects armed with handguns entered and demanded cash while threatening the employee. Suspects obtained cash and fled.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 10600 block of Wayridge Drive in Gaithersburg overnight between Monday, 4/27 and Tuesday, 4/28 between 9:00 p.m. and 6:33 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.

S1 Beat:

  • An armed robbery occurred at the 7-11 located at 15900 Shady Grove Road in Gaithersburg on Monday, 5/4 around 1:50 a.m. The two suspects armed with handguns demanded cash. Cash and cigarettes were stolen. Suspects fled the scene.

  • An attempted burglary occurred at the Becraft Shop, 405 South Frederick Avenue in Gaithersburg overnight between Saturday, 5/2 and Sunday, 5/3 between 5:05 p.m. and 9:15 a.m. Suspects forced entry but failed to gain entry.

  • A residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Sunnybrook Terrace in Gaithersburg on Wednesday, 4/29 between 6:10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.
